The recent CASC (Canadian Artisan Spirit Competition) awards, which Hamer also oversees, are a great illustration of this. B.C. took home a barrel full of prizes, including, for the second year in a row, Canadian Artisan Spirit of the Year. Last year, it was Sheringham Distillery’s Akvavit; this year it was Monashee Spirits Ethos Gin from Revelstoke.
